Using a trauma informed approach, I work with individuals and families as they negotiate the highs and lows of developmental stages and life transitions, and work through them to build healthier lives and stronger relationships.

I have almost 20 years experience in mental health and addictions work and am certified as an Indigenous Addiction Counsellor. My skills are in Crisis Intervention and de-escalation, anger management, addiction treatment, PTSD, depression and anxiety treatment and the affects of childhood trauma.

I love working with individuals, couples and families.  I enjoy the challenge of working with pre-teens and teens to witness the changes as they build their confidence and self-awareness.

I use various therapeutic approaches including CBT, Narrative therapy and Internal Family Systems informed therapies and incorporate Mi'kmaq cultural traditions as requested.

I believe it is vital to build as safe a space as possible to support people in their healing journey. I believe that it is important to work from a perspective that is guided by lived experience, personal healing and a belief in the resilience of the human spirit. I bring all of that into my work in order to build an honest & holistic healing experience

Client Focus

I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space for you to explore your emotions, thoughts and feelings. Treatment plans are created with you, not for you. You will drive this process and I will provide as much or as little input as you feel you need.

I specialize in working with clients who are dealing with various life challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship issues.  Depending on the person and the healing that they express is important to them, we will use various methods to find their path to holistic health.

Whether you are an individual or a family, we will work together to find the answers!
